Is that Lickity Split in E-4? Never could tell if it was just an OC or one of the canon background ponies. And yeah, I'll gladly wait to see more of these fillies get their own Super Speedy Sketches <3 Wonder what Diamond said to Scoots in E-5 to get her so riled up XD (or whoever it was!)
I-3 and J-3: I imagine them singing the pony variation of what a Katie Perry song would be for most men, to poor Scootloo's ears. Row 4's last five, the falling sensation theme, is my favorite. Well, more like tied with row 5's first three.
You draw a really nice Twist btw. Twist will start blossoming into a little cutie like that once she grows out of that lisp. No doubt.
I wonder if they will ever show a Babs episode or her get a Micro comic (or mini-sode in a comic) about how life in Manehattan was for her pre and post Ponyville. She sure went above and beyond the bullying thing. That whole "I gotta fit in with the crowd." attitude turned into her liking the bullying thing a bit too much.
C-4 was pretty explosive. Darn near impossible not to smile at that one.
Anyhow, I know you draw for kicks, and everyone has a life to live and all, but I still wish I could keep up more with all these awesome pieces you dish out. And wanted to say that I was indeed happy with what offerings of what most consider 'worst fillies', and in such cute or "whoa" moments no less. So I at least wanted to come here and thank you for this page of awesome at the very least. Thanks! <3
These are all SO CUTE! Thanks for also uploading screen captures of yourself drawing these, I love to watch other talented artists work and bring their ideas to life! It's all so inspiring! I'm going to watch them all! Yay!
Thanks a lot for sharing these. You have no idea how useful these are to me (and fun to watch). It's like a goldmine of poses, expressions, and such for someone who's starting to draw. Especially the video's are great. Currently I'm using your Celestia sketches (she's best pony, after all) as reference and am trying to draw them myself in the same quick manner (with pencil/paper) and find I'm doing surprisingly well when I don't fuss with details so much. I only think the far eye in 3/4 view is very difficult, as I always give her the derp eyes.
Thanks again. These are very well done and more useful to me than any tutorial there is.
It's my pleasure And I'm happy that you like then and that they are useful to you
Indeed, the 3/4 view of Celestia is tricky - it easily looks off when drawn with both eyes visible. Often I prefer to draw her 3/4 view with only one eye, like they did in Season 1 - either without the other one or hiding it behind her mane.
5E: Awesome face! Would love to see that on the show!
4I/J: Falling death scenes. For Silver Spoon, the soundtrack to when Spike Spiegel falls out the window... those eyes call for it. For Diamond Tiara, a short slo-moment of silence, then blood everywhere or a bottomless/fiery pit of Disney death.... those eyes call for it.
