This is my favourite of the series. The juxtaposition (I apologize for the pretentious term) of the solid black and the textured mane just WORK for some reason. It suggests a whole lot with limited detail.
Ok. I can't be the only one seeing this. I don't mean to flame or put pressure on someones personal means of expression but ...this is much more than a style shift. It just seems so (and I have no idea the process you used) ...well... lazy.
I mean it looks neat but lets compare this to your other stuff. I would post other pics but just look at the "others by this person" section and you can easily see more than one example of creativity applied with skill.
I wont say these silhouette images are bad but in my opinion you can and have done better. This kinda thing is really beneath you.
This is very similar to things I did with my first day of photoshop.
Got to agree, this does look and feel a bit... lvl 1 ish for a photo shop master. Esp with those other great works poking their beautiful heads at us on the side. I mean.. it looks like it was taken right off of google. O-o
