Let me just say beforehand that I may be just a tiny bit biased because I REALLY love this pairing I love the shading and blending of colors. both on the ponies and in the background. The detail is quite good, especially on the rope, the tree, their expressions and manes. I think Big Mac looks better than Cherriliee in this picture (maybe because Cherry is standing on her back legs?) While the technique of this picture is outstanding, I kinda wish we knew more ot the story. Just what exactly is going on here? Anyway, I really like this picture, and I was really happy you did it because I know you usually do solo portraits of the ponies. Great job
I always love your work just remember that, but this one fails for me and I think it's just because there's no context or that my eye is being drawn to anything. We got Cheerilee and Big Mac. She's obviously disappointed in Mac and she has a rope... which is just as mysterious as to why she's standing like that. If Big Mac is going to make a run for it, his eyes should be looking away. If he is going to be looking to the left (Like he is now) he should be looking at that rope. Other than posing and context I can't really say anything bad about this picture. The background is beautiful the characters are well done (even if Big Mac looks a little too groomed). This is a solid piece of artwork.
BigMac: But.... but I don't need to go to school... Cheerilee: Oh? Do you think I'll give you a choice? BigMac: But I need to work on the farm.. mostly in this time of the season... Cheerilee: I have at heart that a big stallion like you need to know some basic knownledge and I won't fail to do so.... BigMac: Uh.... gotta go! *gallop away* Cheerilee: Don't you dare! *begin to use her lasso* BigMac: *still galloping* Y-you don't even know how to use it.... Cheerilee: Applejack teached me! *gallop while using the lasso* BigMac: Horsefeather....
Hmm... wonder what's going on here? My best guess... and this is not rude for once... is that it's Hearts and Hooves day, and Cheerilee dos NOT want a repeat of last year, so is going to tie Mac up somewhere she can keep an eye on him, taking care of him for the day, at which point she realises she does actually have feelings for him, and she sheepishly places a kiss on the tip of his muzzle after untying him.
He reciprocates, and as they are in a secluded cabin from the town, she guides him into the cozy bedroom where she lays upon the bed, winking over her shoulder at him and they...
Not sure what Wynnefox had against the shoulders and collarbone, I think it looks fine. It's adorable and, strangely, it fits. The style reminds me of of atryl, though definitely different since atryl has a habit of exaggerating proportions (which helps with the cutesy stuff).
Dragonking17 "Your style is way past awesome. Flash Fire "I agree with Dragon here your style really depicts my world very well. Oh and I sure would not want to be Mac right now ha." Dragon "Oh common your special somepony never looked at you like that?" Flash Fire "No Tw--. She never has!"
